MGPEdit v1.01 by René Smit, 12-Mar-1999 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This program is Freeware. Use at your own risk. The author does not accept any responsibility for anything that may happen to your system. It is not allowed to distribute this program in any way without permission of the author. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a little front end I've made for mgpckpt.exe. Both need to be in the same directory, which should be the same as where you store your custom cockpits. Working with MGPEdit is quite the same as with MGPCkpt, except that you can see what you're doing (I hope). At startup all cockpits are being extracted to temporary .bmp and .cp files ($$cur_xx.*). This is so that I can show you the installed cockpits in the cock.b file. The main window shows two lists: the one on the left with .bmp files in the program's directory (wherever you've stored MGPEdit), and on the right you can see a list of teams as you've edited in MGPRS2. Clicking on an entry in either list tries to show the associated bitmap at the bottom of the window. While extracting the selection in the right list (teams) is used with the entered prefix. The left list (files) is then updated with any new files. Note that when cockpits are extracted, the files will be overwritten if they already exist! While replacing a single cockpit both selections are used. The selected file will be inserted in the selected team. There's no check if an accompanying .cp file is present so make sure you copied it together with your cockpit bitmap into the program directory. If you replace all cockpits the prefix is used to make the file selection (current selection is ignored). Clicking the Refresh button will update the files list. Holding the key will use the prefix to filter the list. Version history --------------- 02-Mar-1999 v1.00 First release. Includes MGPCkpt front end. 12-Mar-1999 v1.01 Added window with mgpckpt.exe output.
